A video in which a Taiwanese tech Youtuber discusses what the benefits of a co-op are with Caleb, as well as other subjects such as advice for junior engineers.
This month, ChaoCode (Jane Chao) interviewed Caleb to chat about the background of 508.dev, why 508.dev was formed as a co-op, the advantages of a co-op, some of the higher responsibilities co-op members hold than normal employees, and the world of software engineering more generally.
If you want to hear Caleb's atrocious Mandarin, now's your chance! Video Link
I recently switched from Conductor to Paseo for my multi-device agentic development environment. Conductor still has the best UI and flow in my view, but Paseo better fits my setup because it is fully open source, has Linux and Windows apps, mobile apps, and can itself be orchestrated through a CLI.
I vibecoded something useful, then had to deal with the usual mess that comes after. This is a short guide to using clawpatch to review the repo, fix one thing at a time, and slowly make the codebase a bit less cursed.
508 Devkit is a collection of opinionated project defaults for repos that expect AI coding agents to contribute from day one. It captures the conventions we want in place before a new project grows around accidental omissions.
